Festivities during the Inauguration of "Monument aux Bigoudens" in Pont l'Abbe, Bretagne (Brittany) France. Large crowd of children and adults in traditional Breton costume. People hold flags. They proceed down a town street toward the waterfront. There, on a large wharf, a sailing vessel is docked (no sails visible) and groups of men view the festivities from its masts and rigging. Children dance in a circle. Women in Breton costume are seen wearing a variety of tall lace coifs. Couples dance inside a circle as people watch. Musicians play instruments called: Biniou Coz and Bombarde. Spectators applaud. Emile Cueff, the local Bard, and his wife, sing a duet. Their daughter, Annick, stands between them, holding their hands.
