Opening of a canal linking the interior of kingdom in Sulina, Romania with the Black Sea by means of a navigable canal down the Danube River. Accompanied by his son Crown Prince Michael, King Carol II and his ministers sail down the completed project on the initial trip towards the sea. A ship underway. Crown Prince Michael looks out to the sea. The King speaks to Nicolae Iorga, one of his ministers. Romanian sailors wave from the deck of the ship. King Carol II and Crown Prince Michael get off the ship and are greeted by clergymen and officials. The King and the Crown Prince march followed by the officials.
