A butcher demonstrates his rocket propelled bicycle at Metropolitan Airport in Van Nuys, California. A small rocket in case is lit and then explodes. The butcher then gets on his bicycle, which has wings and rockets attached to enable it to become air borne. The bicycle rockets are lit, the butcher loses balance on the bicycle, and lands in the mud during the demonstration. Fire and smoke rises. Several men rush to help him stand up. They throw a bucket of water on him.
