Film opens with camera panning across Kindley Field, Bermuda, where WB-50 and WB-29 aircraft of the U.S. Air Force 59th Weather Reconnaissance Flight (Hurricane Hunters) are parked. Cluster of buildings and checkered tanks are seen behind them. Scene shifts to crew of a WB-29, in flight gear, including back pack parachutes, posing in front of their aircraft. The Aircraft Commander checks their chutes and they board the aircraft.

A captain and a Lieutenant,in the flight operations office of the USAF 59th Weather Reconnaissance Flight (Hurricane Hunters) at Kindley Air Force Base, Bermuda. They are planning a flight. The captain holds a large E6B computer which he uses to calculate aircraft headings compensated for wind. He reads these headings to the lieutenant who writes them on their flight plan. They place the flight plan in a brief case when finished. View of a navigator's hand using a pair of dividers to measure on an aeronautical chart (possibly a Loran chart). A Weems plotter is seen laying on the chart.

A WB-50D Weather aircraft from the USAF 59th Reconnaissance Flight (Hurricane Hunters) takes off from Kindley Air Force Base, Bermuda.It's landing gear is still down as it approaches the camera at end of the runway, But it raises as it passes overhead. The sequence is seen again from a different camera. In both sequences, the aircraft is seen to crab to the left, compensating for a slight crosswind, as it tracks along the runway after airborne.
