(The "Miss America" pageant was not held in 1934 due to Great Depression financial troubles that affected the pageant in 1933. This "American Queen of Beauty" pageant was sponsored by Madison Square Garden, and held only this one time, in 1934). Contestants in swim suits move around the judges.
