P-47s return to Alto Air Base, Corsica, after a mission.

Formation of P-47s from the 66th Fighter Squadron heading out on a mission. Formation of P-47s from the 65th Squadron, 57th Fighter Group, returning from a mission, with one aircraft missing. The returning formation passes over several allied airfields and arrives over Alto Air Base in Corsica. Three flights of the P-47s do peel ups and execute 360 overhead landings, successively. Ground crews watch the returning aircraft as they work around P-47s parked at the Base. One P-47 makes a rough landing. Lieutenant Colonel G.O.
