Hitler lands at Tempelhof aerodrome and is greeted by enthusiastic crowds in Berlin

Adolf Hitler's triumphant return to Berlin after his visit to Vienna, in March 1938. A Junkers Ju-52 trimotor aircraft is parked on the ramp at Tempelhof Airport (Platz d. Luftbrücke 5, 12101 Berlin, Germany) Berlin. Another is seen landing (carrying Hitler). Nazi flags fly over passenger area crowded with spectators. Cars are parked along the ramp and large white letters spelling "Berlin," visible from the air, are displayed on the ground. Formations of people are seen in various areas of the airport. A closeup of mostly young people swaying back and forth, having fun. A motorcade of cars makes its way through the formations of spectators. Adolf Hitler is standing in the lead car, giving the Nazi salute as spectators cheer him. His car stops, and Hitler steps out to be joined by Hermann Goering and a helmeted army officer carrying a sword. Views of the dense crowds lining both sides of the pathway. Scene shifts to Hitler, Goering, and the Army officer, walking past an honor guard presenting arms in salute. The army officer salutes with his sword and takes up a position in front of the Honor Guard, while Hitler returns the salute and continues with Hermann Goering. Camera pans over the dense cheering crowds in the Wilhelmplatz (77 Wilhelmstraße, 10117 Berlin, Germany). Hitler and Goering appear on a balcony. (Note: the only sound is of crowds cheering.)

The Arcadia Conference in Washington, DC, during World War 2, from December 22, 1941 to January 14, 1942. American President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, are seated in chairs on a portico of the White House. ( Roosevelt wears a black arm band, in mourning for his mother, Sara Delano Roosevelt, who died on September 7, 1941.) Behind them stand representatives from various Allied nations. Scene shifts abruptly to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, June 24, 1942, where Prime Minister Churchill and U.S. Army Brigadier General William C. Lee, ride in back of an open white convertible car to inspect U.S. Army troops at attention in a massive formation. Next, the troops are seen marching. Churchill smoking a cigar is seated on a bench watching as the parade continues, to include soldiers in jeeps, and trucks. Closeup of U.S. Army chief of Staff, General George Marshall, conversing with Prime Minister Churchill. Next, Churchill, accompanied by General Lee, personally inspects Army paratroopers in their jump gear. Among others accompanying him is U.S. Secretary of War Henry L. Stimson, wearing a pith helmet. CAS-2A aerial camera and its functions with other units and assembly and camera loading are demonstrated in the U.S.

Functions of an aerial camera and its units are demonstrated in the United States. CAS-2A aerial camera for trick photography. A reel from which two images can be taken is unrolled. A reel which is used for obtaining 3D images by a stereo viewer is unrolled. A U.S. Navy demonstrator opens the slit of the camera and adjusts light intensity and film speed. He shows two lenses. Lenses can be rotated to several degrees. Manual settings are done prior to photography. Other units of installation include: power unit, scanner, scanner converter and control system of camera. Control panel: the power switch is turned on. Green light on special panel indicates that camera is operated correctly. Various buttons of panel including film failure, inadequate light intensity and exposure remaining. The scanner and computer dial of the control panel is adjusted. Dials for ground speed and altitude of flight are adjusted. Focal length and depression angle are adjusted on the power unit. Photo recorder unit incorporates a motion picture camera. Photo recorder panel is shown. Assembly and loading of the camera: Slit assembly is installed in the camera. 3 slit assembly include left oblique photography, right oblique photography and slit assembly for vertical photography. Electric connections are made. Assembly pushed in to the camera. Lens unit is mounted on the camera. One assembly is cleaned. Two cassettes are take up and supply cassettes. Loading of the supply cassette: A cover is removed, light lock is opened and a pivot is withdrawn. The film is pushed through the light lock. The cover is replaced and a latch is locked. The supply cassette is mounted on the camera. Take up cassette is mounted on the camera. Both cassettes are locked. Camera loading is complete.
