1919 U.S. Army Transcontinental Motor Convoy passing through Ohio and Illinois en route to San Francisco

Soldiers ride the trucks of the 1919 U.S. Army Motor Transport convoy as they ascend the Blue Ridge mountains. An accompanying soldier on a motorcycle steers around the camera as he passes. Next, the convoy is seen driving down Market Street in the Village of East Palestine, Ohio, where welcoming flags and banners have been strung across the road, and local people watch from the sidewalks.
