Coronation of Queen Elizabath II. The royal family of Britain moves out of the Buckingham palace. The Queen to be crowned, Elizabeth II, and her husband , Duke of Edinburgh, Phillip, being carried in Golden Coach to the Westminister Abbey. A large procession accompanies the Royal family to the Abbey as people throng by the roadside to cheer the family. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Cannadian Prime Minister also form part of the procession. At the Westminister Abbey Arch Bishop of Cantebury administer a solemn oath to Elizabeth II. Dressed in a white garment she sits into a chair under a gold and silk canopy for benediction as she is anointed with holy oil. Elizabeth's four year old son,Charles, watches the ceremony as Mother Queen explains him the proceedings. Arch Bishop places the St. Edwards crown onto Elizabeth's head and is enthroned as the Queen of Grat Britain. Peers vow to the Queen and first among them is her husband and Duke of Edinburgh,Phillip. After the ceremony the new Queen along with her family moves back to the Buckingham palace. Royal Canadian mounted police escort the royal family back to the palace.
