Fire at a Whiskey warehouse in Glasgow, Scotland. A warehouse filled with 28 million dollars worth of scotch whiskey burns and explodes. Flames rise from the warehouse. Water being sprayed on fire by fire fighters during Cheapside Street whisky bond warehouse fire. Firemen stand on roof. They spray water from fire hoses on the blaze. Flames soar as whisky alcohol ignites. More than 19 fire fighters die and 40 more are injured fighting the fire.
Film demonstrates working of the Alcohol-O-Mat in Germany, a precursor to the modern breathalyzer. A drunk man comes out of a house drunk and smoking a cigarette. He gets into a Volkswagen convertible and drives dangerously. Next, we see the same man with Alcohol-O-Mat device installed in the car. The driver breathes into a large funnel and the device lights up, releases smoke, sounds a siren, and sprays water on the him because it has detected him to be intoxicated. "AlkoholOMat" is printed in German on the device. The driver leaves the Volkswagen and the woman accompanying him helps him to walk.
De Soto Festival Golf Tourney near Bradenton, Florida. Sign reads 'De Soto Lake', '500ft Golf and country club'. With spectators near him, Sam Snead tees off, followed by Jerry Barber. Crowds walk across the fairway following the players. One spectator wears a Spanish Conquistador's helmet. Arnold Palmer makes a 30 foot putt, to cheers from spectators. In the final round, Snead makes a long putt to nibble at Barber's lead. Non-contender, Bob Golby, thrills the crowd by making a 40 foot chip shot from off the green, that falls in with the pin still in the hole. Jerry Barber makes his last putt, but loses to Snead who putts out with a final score of 276, to Barber's 275.
