German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel visits the home of Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, while he has some time between command assignments, during World War 2. The six Goebbels children line up to greet him on the doorstep of their home, holding bouquets in their hands.From left to right, they are: youngest daughter, Heidrun "Heide" Elisabeth (who also salutes for the camera at start of the scene); Hedwig "Hedda" Johanna; Holdine "Holde"Kathrin; Helmut christian; Hildegard "Hilde" Traudel; and Helga Susanne (interesting that they all have first names beginning with H). Field Marshal Rommel arrives in a staff car. He is formally greeted by each child and accepts their flowers. He chats with Mrs. Goebbels (Magda), who also greets his military aides. Then they all enter the house.

Adolf Hitler climbs stairs of Berghof together with Chamberlain and Hitler's interpretor, Paul Otto Schmidt, on September 15, 1938 for their conference. Crowds of Germans give Nazi salute and cheer as Hitler and Mussolini appear on a balcony. A U.S. Army truck full of troops and a jeep follow the personnel carrier. Next dragon's teeth tank traps are seen in the snow. A U.S. M10 tank destroyer and a truck are parked near the dragon's teeth. A gunner atop the M10 fires his M2 Browning heavy machine gun. The M10 continues to move past the dragon's teeth. Scenes depicting uneasy relations between Nazi party and German Imperial rule during Weimar Republic in 1933.

Opening scene shows many thousands of Nazi Storm Troopers (Sturmabteilung) gathered in a Nazi rally at Zeppelin Field in Nuremberg. They all render the Nazi salute as the German National Anthem is played over loudspeakers. Complete change of scene shows a military parade including many World War I veterans. They march past Crown Prince Wilhelm, who is seen in close-up, saluting the marchers with a classic military salute. (Several standing with him render Nazi salutes.) The parade ends with the National Anthem and massed flags. Next, German President, Paul von Hindenburg, leads a contingent of officials, walking past assembled military units. He strolls into an area where he exchanges salutes with uniformed men who render the classic (not Nazi) hand salute. Hindenburg salutes some disabled veterans of World War I. Film shifts back again to the Nazi rally at Zeppelin Field, where Adolf Hitler shakes hands with Storm troopers.
