Workers training to sew powder bags, and training with cracked corn to fill the bags. Views of new fire department and police cruisers in the town. Boy Scouts visit the Bronx Zoo in New York United States. Boys take impressions of possums, woodchuck, squirrel, song bird, turtle and toad on a hand written plea against the automobile drivers. Boy Scouts meet with Mayor James J Walker and give the scroll of plea. They ask the Mayor to urge greater care to motorists for the safety of the animals
British Aviators complete the flight between Europe and America at Floyd Bennett Field,New York. Plane lands at airport and a group of guards escort the flyers. British Aviators Lt. Maurice Rossi and Paul Codos surrounded by excited crowd and media persons. The aviators completed their record flight in their Joseph Le Brix monoplane.
A medium bomb (probably dropped by a U.S. Navy aircraft) is seen hitting the German Battleship Ostfriesland on July 20, 1921 in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, United States. A formation of U.S. Navy Curtiss F5L flying boats is seen in the air. The following day, July 21, 1921, 2000 lb. bomb is seen exploding near the Ostfriesland. The bomb is dropped by an airplane from an Air Corps unit commanded by Army Brigadier General Billy Mitchell (neither seen). Several other 2000 lb. bombs explode on and near the Ostfriesland, causing it to roll over and sink.
Robert Vogeler arrives home with his family in New York. Robert Vogeler, a U.S. businessman held in a Hungarian prison for 15 months on trumped-up Soviet charges, arrives at his home land. He and his family disembark from an airplane. Cameramen clicks photographs. Vogeler is interviewed by media persons. With his wife at his side he speaks about his ordeal. His wife tells the media persons to leave him alone.
Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion arrives in Washington DC, United States for a visit. An Israeli airplane taxis in front of the U.S. Military Air Transport Service Terminal, Washington; located at Washington National Airport in Arlington Virginia. David Ben-Gurion is on a visit to the U.S. during which he will enlist American aid for Israel bond drive. Citizens stand behind railings guarded by security guards. The Prime Minister disembarks from the airplane. He is greeted by U.S. officials.
