Opening slate reads: "Leaving as friends the land they entered as foes." A large contingent of German soldiers is seen assembled for departure by a building, in a French city, along the Belgian and Luxembourg border, that Germany had occupied during World War 1 Next, a German army brass band parades along a street of the city, through a crowd of French inhabitants, many of whom walk along the sides of the street keeping up with the band. The last moment of the clip displays a slate reading: "Auf Wiedersehen."

Policemen on horseback carrying German eagle flag lead the march along with several policemen playing trumpets. The policemen wear a variety of ornate uniforms across varying ranks and functions. Following the leadership, a police band marches carrying a variety of instruments, in turn followed by policemen on foot. Large crowd of civilians gather to witness the march. The citizens are reserved; not boisterous. A policeman on horseback carries a cup close to parade watchers so they can contribute money to the police force. He crosses from one side to the other of the parade route. Police with dogs (K-9 or canine unit) parade on roads. The troops march past the Brandenburg Gate; the Quadriga visible atop. German fire fighters in Berlin, Germany on Museum Island. On the Lustgarten parade area of Museum Island (Museumsinsel) the firemen demonstrate fire fighting techniques and equipment outside the Old Museum building (Altes Museum) and the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom). Fire brigade trucks move out from positions outside the Old Museum, toward the Berlin Cathedral. They stop in front of the Cathedral and in synchronized fashion they raise the ladders high into the air. A fireman operates a crank to turn on water, while standing in a small boat. Fire fighters standing in a line with hoses direct a flood of water from combine hoses southward from the Old Museum, high into the air, raining down into the Lustgarten in front of the Berlin Cathedral. Includes German narration and ambient background sound from the scene.
An award ceremony and review of French troops at the Court of Honor (Cour d'Honneur) primary courtyard area of the French military hospital known as the Hotel des Invalides. Field Marshal Philippe Petain pins a medal on a French general as an honor guard stands at attention and photographers capture photos. The receiving general may possibly be Paul Maistre, Maxime Weygand, or Marshal Louis Granchet d'Esperey. Following the ceremony, French Army troops march out of the courtyard while being reviewed by Petain and the other high-ranking officers. At the end of the line, several early armored vehicles join the procession, including a French Renault FT tank and small personnel carriers.
