The U.S. President Nixon addresses the Mississippi Economic Council silver anniversary meeting in Jackson, Mississippi. He stresses strengthening economic conditions and infrastructure of the country. President Nixon speaks about need for medical and alternate energy sources development projects. First Lady Pat Nixon, dignitaries and other spectators in the auditorium hear him speaking. Officials attending included Governor William Waller, Senator Jim Eastland, Senator John Stennis, and Mississippi congressmen. Nixon shares some of his personal experiences at the meeting.
U.S. President and Mrs. Nixon are welcomed by crowd of well wishers after arriving at the John F. Kennedy Space Center, in Florida, to witness the launch of the Apollo 12 moon mission. The weather is rainy and many in the crowd hold umbrellas. The Nixons mingle with the crowd and the President signs a number of autographs.

The President chats with others in the stands. A light rain is falling. The President converses with an Army Sergeant. Mrs. Pat Nixon and daughter Patricia join the President in the stands. Many umbrellas are held aloft to shield the Nixons. Attention of the crowd is focused as the Saturn V rocket ignites and the Apollo 12 mission is launched. The rocket soon disappears in the clouds. But the crowd remains attentive (presumably as the roar of the rocket continues to reverberate). In a short while, the crowd begins to disperse.
U.S. President's helicopter lands in the south lawn of the White House. President Nixon proceeds along a walkway from the Oval Office of the White House. He waves to White House staff as he crosses the lawn toward the helicopter. First Lady Pat Nixon, followed by daughters, Patricia (Trish) and Julie Eisenhower, with her husband, David, cross the lawn in distance and board the helicopter before the President. President Nixon reaches the helicopter, speaks briefly with a military aide, and boards. The Presidential helicopter (now Marine One) takes off. View of flowers in the White House gardens.
