Some of the demonstrators hold signs like "Dillinger Gone...Bellinger going going (gone)". (The sign is comparing Frederic Coudert Bellinger, a building resident who was organizing tenants against the striking workers, to the infamous bank robber John Dillinger.) Bellinger had also shown up in tin hat and with a shotgun, and another protestor sign said, "Office of Tin Hat Bellinger". Another sign variant was, "Bellinger goes up and down, Picket goes round and round."
