Rookie Boston Red Sox pitcher Billy Rohr comes within one out of throwing a no-hitter against the New York Yankees in baseball game at Yankee Stadium, April 1967. Rohr faces the last batter as scoreboard (in background) shows the Red Sox' 3-0 lead and zero hits for Yankees. Yankee catcher Elston Howard lines a single into right field, breaking up the no-hitter. Rohr gets final out and crowd cheers and teammates congratulate him. Final shot is Rohr standing at top step of dugout, chewing gum, contemplating how close he came to the rare baseball feat.

Excerpt from film entitled "Counterattack- Marine Air Ground Team," about U.S. Marines in the Vietnam War. Marines are seen walking cautiously across irrigation ditches in cultivated region of South Vietnam. Scene shifts to one marine looking down at a hole where smoke is rising at the base of a berm. Vietnamese families evacuating their village where marines are burning houses and huts. View from riverbank strung with barbed wire, where marines are relaxing while gunfire is heard and black smoke rises from fires burning across the river. Next, a city is seen jammed with Vietnamese refugees with their belongings (some being assisted by ARVN soldiers) making their way through the crowds. A fallen civilian seen on the ground, victim of the Viet Cong (VC). Buildings and places of worship severely damaged by the VC. A crowd fills the sold-out Ladd Peebles Stadium, in Mobile Alabama, for the Senior Bowl game, matching all star football players from the North and the South. Oregon State's Bob Grim is seen running the ball to pick up 25 yards. North's Quarterback hits Iowa State's Eppie Barney for a touchdown, with 1:13 remaining in the 3rd period. South quarterback Terry Southal, of Baylor, passes to Louisiana State's Dick Redding for a touchdown at the 13:12 mark of the 4th quarter. North's Bob Grim takes handoff and runs from the 40 yard line until pushed out of bounds at the South's 15 yard line. Nebraska's Harry Wilson runs the ball for a touchdown in the 4th Quarter. North beats the South 35 to 15. (Note:The final North tally came at the very end of the game with a pass from BYU's Virgil Carter to Nebraska's Pete Tatman. Bubba Smith of Mich. State was a monster on Defense and won the MVP award.)

Newsreel clip on baseball's 1967 All-Star Game at Anaheim Stadium, home of the California Angels. View of the huge crowd spread over three decks. National League team poses on field before the game. In the second inning, the Phillies' Richie Allen hits a long home run off the Twins' Dean Chance to give National League 1-0 lead. In the sixth, Brooks Robinson of the Orioles homers off Fergie Jenkins of the Cubs to tie the game 1-1. Pitchers dominate the game, racking up 30 strikeouts. Finally, the Reds' Tony Perez hits the game-winning homer off Jim "Catfish" Hunter in the 15th. National League wins 2-1.

United States Marine Corps pilot of Squadron VMF (AW) 232 (Red Devils), wearing flight suit and a red helmet, sits in the cockpit of an F-8E Crusader aircraft in Da Nang Vietnam. The name "Wheatley" is stenciled below the cockpit. The pilot raises two fingers to indicate start engine. Ground crewman wearing noise suppressor headset acknowledges with two fingers.Ground crewman collects gear pins. Another ground crewman pulls chocks, hangs them on a rocket tube, and signals for the pilot to taxi. He pulls the chocks off the rocket tube as the aircraft taxis past, with its wings folded. The pilot, Major Cronkrite, unfolds wings and taxis to join the other F-8E, piloted by Wheatley, on the active runway. (Note: On June 20, 1967 Major Charles Ligon Cronkrite experienced mechanical problems during a mission and ejected over water. He did not survive.) (Vietnam War period).
