Group of workers walk beside a farmer plowing a field with a disc cultivator pulled by a D6 Caterpillar diesel tractor. The manual workers appear to be discarding clumps of grass or other undesired material. In contrast, two other farmers are seen plowing nearby using primitive wooden plows pulled by horses. One of them stops to repair his wooden plow, striking it with a stone to tighten it.
The Sultan of Morocco, Mohammad V, on his throne, attending to official matters in his palace. He deals with several written documents, with his assistant. Change of scene shows him at his desk working with a male secretary who brings him documents to sign.
Mohamed (Muhammad) Ben Youssef (Mohamed V), Sultan of Morocco, walks through a garden with friends. A gardener, using a watering can, pauses to bow, as the Sultan walks past. The Sultan escorts his party past a pool of water associated with a structure being built on the grounds. He converses with a construction worker. Together, they climb partially completed steps of the building and examine the work. Later, the sultan and his son, Moulay Hassan, place small pieces of tile in a complicated mosaic, part of the structure.
Mohamed V, Sultan of Morocco, drives family members, in a custom built open, convertible car, with jeep-like grill and hood, but otherwise custom-styled body, equipped with full white walled tires. They drive through sand where a Royal Garden is being constructed. The Sultan converses with supervisor and workers who are operating a manual irrigation pump. The Sultan tastes the water coming out of the pump.
