Russian airmen Gromov, Yumashev, and Danilin set a nonstop flight endurance record in 1937 of 62 hours 17 minutes. The airmen fly a Tupolev ANT-25 over the North pole from Moscow to a dairy pasture outside San Jacinto, California (near Los Angeles).
