United States troops in France during World War I. Large number of American soldiers are assembled in open area of town. An officer stands on a vehicle and reads from a paper. Many soldiers and one girl are gathered around the vehicle. A soldier is called and comes forward to receive something from the officer. Buildings in the background. Troops salute as military band plays. American troops march into the area while a drum and bugle corps plays. Three young French girls are seen watching the parade.Many French civilians line the opposite side of the road to watch the arriving American troops. In the town square, several American soldiers and local French civilians gather around a statue in a fenced area adorned with French and American flags.
