German troops overrun Belgium and Northern France. Massive column of German soldiers advancing. Battle scenes with trench warfare, explosions, and heavy railway artillery being fired. A French soldier is killed by an exploding shell. A French 320mm Railway Gun fires. A soldier climbs up trench wall as an explosion occurs. Soldiers leap into trench as the exploded earth showers, one of them injured or killed. German soldiers in trench fire a rifle and another throws a grenade. Tanks maneuver in the battlefield. Trenches are fenced with barbed wire. Belgian soldier lifts his head from a trench and throws a hand grenade, then quickly ducks back down. An explosion occurs over a trench. German soldiers firing machine gun from trench; machine gun operator is hit and collapses. Soldiers crossing battlefield amidst barbed wire. Line of soldiers atop vehicles firing howitzers during battle. A French Spad airplane is shot down in flames and smoke and dives toward the ground, out of control.
