Soldiers of Russian Infantry and artillery advance during World War I in Russia. Teams of horses pulling artillery caissons hurry by infantry troops. Supplies are moved in horse drawn wagons. Large numbers of troops move across a deep trench or ditch, and some set up positions in a bomb crater, which they surround with barbed wire. Soldiers bring barbed wire rolls. The wires are unrolled around their positions.
