AEF soldiers putting gas masks on pet goats and milking one during World War I in France.
France Date:1918, July Duration:45 sec Sound:NO SOUND
The Aisne Marne Operation in France. Four soldiers of the American Expeditionary Forces, wearing gas masks, attempt to place improvised gas masks on a mother goat and her kid. The next sequence shows all without gas masks and one soldier restraining the kid from reaching the mother while another soldier milks the goat. Finally the kid is allowed to reach the mother goat, and the soldier with the milk shows it to the others (plus some who have joined them). The soldier drinks the fresh milk.
