Slow motion sequence showing the F4F rounding out high during landing and drifting into the island of the aircraft carrier. The right wing strikes the superstructure of the island and breaks off. The F4F collapses, inverted, in pieces, on the flight deck. Several members of the ship's crew hunkered down beside the deck during the accident.
