Russian women and a few men, work together to remove stumps from a field in Archangel (Arkhangelsk) Russia, where trees were recently harvested for lumber. They dig with picks and shovels and uproot a stump. Then a group of about 25 women works in unison to roll the huge stump away. An American soldier stands nearby as they work.
