Massive damage on board USS Forrestal (CV-59) in the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam. A burned and damaged helmet lies on the deck, swaying in the wind. Several men from damage control teams and naval officers walk on the damaged deck area. They examine gaping holes due to rocket and bomb explosions. Twisted metal and scorched areas visible. The port side of the flight deck is partially sheared off, with rubble and twisted metal.
