Soviet Embassy on 16th Street, in Washington DC. Brass plaque on front reads: "Embassy of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics." A wreath and hammer and sickle are also displayed on the plaque of the USSR embassy. Interior of the embassy shows a lavish buffet table with many elegant dishes including caviar. An ice sculpture with flashing light decorates the table. Soviet Foreign Minister, Andrei Vishinsky, greets members of the Washington diplomatic corps who arrive in large numbers to participate in the festivities. He also greets guest Paul Robeson, the famous singer. Guests seen mingling and serving themselves at the buffet. A large cake is decorated with " XXX III celebration." A woman cuts the cake and serves a piece to a guest.
