Testing aircraft for Strategic Air Command Escape and Evasion mission. A United States Air Force C-119C aircraft being tested for short field landing capability on rough terrain at Eglin Air Force Base in Okaloosa County, Florida. The C-119C makes a normal full flap landing and reverses its engines upon touchdown, which together with wheel braking causes the aircraft to stop rapidly. Dust blows in front of the aircraft from the reverse thrust. Several views of the landing test are seen.
