Guards stationed at the front entrance drive and in several small guard stands near the house. Guards seated in front of the guard stands and talking with a visitor. View of the nearby foothills and the drop into the Hudson Valley where the Hudson River and a distant bridge over the river are visible. Views of Sara Roosevelt, the President's mother, walking in the gardens at the house with a basket atop a pole. She cuts flowers and places them in the basket and then moves the basket to another location and pushes the pole into the ground to keep it in place.
