Congressman Karl E. Mundt, of the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) questions Alger Hiss during his testimony in Washington DC, United States. Hundt recaps some of the earlier testimony and findings. He notes that on the question of "were you or were you not a communist", the committee never believed it could prove if he was a Communist as those who are guilty of this usually lie. Congressman Mundt also states the points of conflict related to the Hiss versus Chambers testimony. Mundt attempts to tie Hiss to the accused Communist Chambers due to their close association. Alger Hiss answers the Committee questions.
