Hermann Goering, dressed in vest and lederhosen, walks to patio of his hunting lodge at Hochkreuth in the Bavarian Alps, near Bayrischzell. He stoops to pet a lion cub. Goering picks up a newspaper and starts to read it, when the lion cub jumps up on the wooden patio railing. A black long hair dog behind Goering seems unconcerned. Goering speaks to the cub,calling him "Caesar." He tells the cub to jump from the railing, which it does. Goering then states he wants to take this opportunity to express thanks to a "thousand people."
