'Excavating for a New York Foundation '. A crew of laborers can be seen shoveling dirt into a four-wheeled wooden wagon. A full wagon is slowly lifted out of the pit to street level by a steam driven early design crane. Advertisements and campaign posters can be seen on the wall of the building in the background, including a large billboard for Cremo cigars.
