Activities of United States1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Soldiers rush through elephant grass towards a downed U.S. Army UH-1D helicopter. U.S. soldiers tie down rotor blades as other soldiers secure equipment inside the helicopter. The soldiers take defensive positions around the UH-1D. Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter flies in and hovers over the downed UH-1D. A hoist is secured and the CH-47 lifts the UH-1D and flies off. The CH-47 carrying the damaged UH-1D, flies. The CH-47 parked on Camp Holloway Airfield. The CH-47 lowers the UH-1D to the ground on the airfield.
