The inauguration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in Washington DC. Parade units pass in review. The U.S. Army Chief of Staff, General George C. Marshall, leads the parade, on horseback. The cavalry passes on the grounds of the Capitol building. People gather in a large number to watch the parade. The cavalry holds flags. Marine bands, tanks, West Point cadets, Annapolis midshipmen, NYA (National Youth Administration) contingents and the Marine Corps band march. President Roosevelt reviews the parade. Mrs Roosevelt and Captain Philip James Roosevelt join him later. A banner reads: 'Carry on with Roosevelt'. Tanks, other military vehicles and motorcades pass on the grounds.
