Small Italian wedding party walks past parked American Sherman tanks. Italian civilians crowd around a tank as an American crew member tosses candy to them. The wedding party walks past a parked jeep. Lieutenant General Mark Clark and some of his staff walk along the road. A Major General confers with another officer. General Clark climbs into a jeep with the Major General and a Brigadier General. A Sergeant is seen in a field, where a fire burns. Two soldiers, of the 5th Army, tie messages to carrier pigeons and set them loose.
