A convoy of U.S. warships, including aircraft carrier, destroyers, and other ships, underway in the Pacific Ocean. Flak bursts are seen above the aircraft carrier, and then several bombs explode in the water off to her starboard. Tracer rounds are seen marking antiaircraft fire at Japanese airplane, which is hit and dives into the sea. The convoy continues on course at high speed. Four U.S. carrier-based fighter aircraft appear overhead, and one lands on an aircraft carrier.
