A large gun crew, of about a dozen soldiers,work together coordinating the loading and firing of a 9.2 inch howitzer. Shells for the gun are piled around the emplacement. Many infantry stand in background watching the howitzer in action. Smoke rises from shell strikes in the nearby German lines.
