Romanians commence cleanup after attacks by U.S. 15th Air Force bombers in Ploesti (Ploiesti) during World War 2. Workers shovel building debris from rails in front of a train station. A locomotive pulls a train into a platform on which the entire roof has been destroyed. A group of Romanian workers carrying shovels and other implements, walks along a section of track past destroyed structures. They work to straighten rails and remove portions of buildings and other debris from the tracks. One uses a cutting torch to release a huge piece of reinforced concrete, which is then raised up by a crane. Workers are busy all over the area in the cleanup activities. Several men inspect damage to a locomotive.
