Vietnam Date:1965, March 7 Duration:2 min 28 sec Sound:NO SOUND
Views from tail camera of a USAF A-1E aircraft strafing enemy targets at low altitude amidst groves of coconut trees. White smoke rising from the ground, behind the aircraft. The A-1E is flying at tree-top level. Simple structures are seen, occasionally, amongst the trees. Exploding White phosphorus bombs and fires erupting from napalm, seen in the wake of the aircraft. More huts seen as the aircraft exits the coconut plantation and passes over a river bank. Fires burning in the background. The A-1E climbs out over the river.
(Note: The A1E aircraft on this mission is believed to be from the 1st Air Commando Squadron, operating out of Bien Hoa Air Base.)
