An air raid over Anzio, Italy during World War II. A U.S. Army officer in a gun emplacement at a beach. He looks through binoculars. He orders another officer to sound an air raid alarm. Soldiers rush to the emplacement on hearing the alarm. They load shells into a 40 mm anti aircraft gun. The anti aircraft gun being fired. Bombs burst in water and around the cities of Anzio and Nettuno. Two German airplanes fall after being hit. Smoke trails appear as the aircraft descend.
