A training film about the fighting against the enemy during World Wear II. Deals with themes of soldier nerves, fear, and combat stress. The enactment shows an American convoy of trucks moving down a road. Soldiers in a truck as they lean their heads on rifles and go off to sleep. A soldier named Jim thinks about his friend who went blind during the war. Another soldier talks to Jim and speaks about mentally preparing himself for war. The convoy stops and soldiers get off the trucks to rest. Jim talks to another soldier and says how he misses his civilian life. He remembers his vacations before coming for the war. Jim with his girlfriend and his parents as they bid him goodbye. At the station Jim kisses his girlfriend and she cries. The soldier says to Jim that he has to fight with himself before fighting against the enemy. He advises him to forget his civilian life. The soldiers board the trucks and convoy starts out. Jim thinks of his parents and girlfriend. He decides to forget them and goes off to sleep.
