Romanian Dictator, marshal Ion Victor Antonescu accompanied by German officers, visiting Romanian troops in Odessa during World War II. They review a welcoming parade with a military band and troops marching across a field. He converses with soldiers and decorates several with medals. He and German General von Manstein present awards to German soldiers and aviators. The Romanian Order of the Crown decoration is displayed on a recipient officer's uniform blouse. As Marshal Antonescu is leaving, General von manstein presents him with a book.Marshal Antonescu boards his Junker JU-52 aircraft. A cresent moon and man's head wearing a fez, are painted on the cowling of the center engine on the airplane. Marshal Antonescu peers out of the cabin window as the aircraft taxis for takeoff.
