Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, General Paul McConnell visits Cam Ranh Air Base in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. UH-1B helicopter from the 20th SOS (Special Operation Squadron) lands. General McConell disembarks from the helicopter and heads for the staff car. General and party enter the 12th United States Air Force hospital. He speaks to patients in the 11th Ward. Board reads '483rd Tactical Airlift Wing'. General McConell arrives at the 12th TFW (Tactical Fighter Wing) and departs after inspection. The General takes a look at Dehavilland C-7A Caribou aircraft and speaks with Colonel Turk.
