U.S. Army Second Battalion medical aid station of the Japanese-American 442nd Regimental Combat Team in Belmont Sector, France during World War 2, fighting to rescue the Lost Battalion in the Vosges Mountains. Japanese-American soldiers seeking treatment. Soldiers carry a fallen soldier to the medical aid station, on a litter. Medics check for a pulse by hand and with a stethoscope. They confirm the soldier to be dead. Body of the fallen soldier is wrapped in canvas and placed near those of two fallen comrades.
