During the National Memorial Reunion and Peace Jubilee for veterans of the American Civil War in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Boy Scouts of America and soldiers of the U.S. Army 155th Infantry march during a parade in the city of Vicksburg. People gathered along the sidewalk to watch the parade. A sign behind the parade, "We Welcome You. The Valley Dry Goods Company". The Civil War veterans, riding in many open trucks, move past the crowds and wave to the townspeople. Most of the trucks have a Boy Scout seated beside the driver or in some cases driving. Many veterans wear Civil War hats. One truck carries only negro veterans. Scene of two veterans, one from Union forces and the other from Confederate forces, shaking hands. The American flag flies from a pole.
