A film about problems faced by working women in the United States. American sociologist Jessie Bernard and Edna G. Rostow, a mental hygiene consultant at the Yale University, discuss about old traditions responsible for the changes in the life of women and the democratic values that an American family inculcates in children. They talk about freedom given to American women and the difference in the environment in which they grow up from that in the rest of the world.
