British General Sir David Henderson decorates American Generals in Tours, France during World War 1. He and two staff officers stand beside a table, in a grassy field in the town. Numerous local spectators gather at the edge of the field to observe the ceremony. One staff officer picks up an award citation from the table. Soldiers stand in the background. AEF photographers record the event as General Henderson decorates U.S. Army Brigadier General James Harbord, and shakes hands with him. He then decorates U.S. Generals: Harts; Edgar Jadwin; Langfitt; Connor; and Roackenbach; Major General George S. Simonds; General McCaw; General William Wallace Atterbury; General Dawes; and General McCoy. General Henderson, also decorates seven non-flag officers during the ceremony.
