The U.S. troopship, USS Mount Vernon (APA-22) is seen underway as viewed portside from another boat. Film stops momentarily and resumes showing a different troopship, the USS General J. C. Breckinridge (AP-176) in a harbor. Camera pans across her deck, from a small boat below. Sailors and soldiers line her railings. Several banners on her upper deck identify units aboard. Most notable is a large one for the U.S. 10th Armored Division, showing their Division patch and the slogan "Terrify and Destroy." View of people waiting on the receiving pier, which is decked out in stars, bars, and flags, plus a sign reading "welcome Home, Well Done."
