Infantry soldiers undergo training. They come down the side of an imitation ship by means of rope ladders. A wooden frame structure resembling an LST (Landing Ship Tank). A Sergeant giving a signal for men to disembark from the LST, training for invasion. The soldiers crawl across muddy ditches. Machine guns are fired overhead. Shells bursting in the area. A soldier stretches himself in prone position across a barbed wire fence. Other soldiers using the GI as a stepping stone to cross the barbed wire fence. Several combat soldiers holding rifles which are used as a ladder for climbing a barbed entanglement.
