Poland Date:1940 Duration:1 min 2 sec Sound:NO SOUND
German soldiers arresting staff of a hospital in Poland during World War II. A German soldier rides in a motorcycle with a sidecar in an alley between buildings. In background, demolished buildings and scenes of destruction. German troops manned with guns round up the staff such as doctors and nurses, and some patients, including women and children, outside a hospital. Several of the staff wear white working uniforms, including hats, and aprons. A young man is pushed by a German guard towards the German officer, who converses with the man. Several German officers stand together and converse. One officer stands by a vehicle with pennant on it showing the circled "Y" insignia of 12.Pz.Div., a rhomboid tactical sign and "I" representing the first battalion. Outside the building, many persons are now standing, dressed in white hospital garb. One, apparently a patient, has his arm in a sling.
