View from inside a bus carrying military athletes (in civilian clothes) on a sightseeing visit to Wies Church in Weilheim-Schongau, Germany. They are staying in Munich for the international military games of the Conceil International Du Sports Militaire (CISM) which are scheduled immediately before the regular 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. Upon arrival at the Wies church grounds, the athletes stop at a souvenir stand on their way along the path to the church. They proceed to the church, itself, and enter as several other visitors are leaving. Another group of visitors, behind them, surrounds the souvenir stand. Inside the sanctuary, they admire the beautiful structure and decorations. Some sit in the pews. Closeup of American flag patch on sleeve of one man's warmup jacket (possibly a coach). Views of visitors and the church interior, including the altar and contents, and statuary in the church. Closeups of several persons viewing the sights. The organ decorated like the rest of the church, in a late baroque (rococo) style. A military officer in uniform, taking a photograph. More general views of the interior. The group is seen leaving the church and walking along the pathway past a meadow with flowers in it. They pass other visitors entering the grounds. Several stop to examine pottery souvenirs molded in shapes like those displayed in the church decorations. Several of the athletes stop in a cafe on the grounds.
